Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu suggested that Israel helped the United States rescue the missing US service member whose fighter jet was shot down over Iran.
In a post on X early on Monday, Netanyahu said he had congratulated US President Donald Trump on “his bold decision and a perfectly executed American mission to rescue the downed pilot from enemy territory.”

Trump’s post was also rebuked by Senator Chris Murphy, who called Trump “completely, utterly unhinged.”
